How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses hypnosis to achieve a heightened state of consciousness, or trance. In this state, you are deeply relaxed and focused, allowing you to access your subconscious mind. This allows you to go beyond the rational mind and work directly with underlying beliefs, emotions, and memories that can affect your daily life

During a hypnotherapy session I guide you to this state of relaxation. I do this by means of verbal suggestions, visualizations and sometimes light touches. Once you are in a trance, we can work together on the specific problems or goals that you have. These can be various things such as fears, stress, addictions, pain management or personal growth.

Hypnotherapy can help with a wide range of issues and challenges. Some of the most common applications include:
